Cyclic tri-AMP is a cyclic trinucleotide that forms part of the cyclic oligonucleotide-based antiphage signaling system (CBASS), acting as a second messenger in immune responses against viral infections. Cyclic tri-AMP binds to and activates the DNA endonuclease NucC. Cyclic tri-AMP induces bacterial cell death via an abortive infection mechanism.
