Zifcasiran (ADS-007) is an siRNA synthetic double-stranded RNAi trigger. Zifcasiran selectively target hypoxia-inducible factor-2alpha (HIF2alpha) interrupting downstream pro-oncogenic signaling in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Zifcasiran engages the cells RNAi machinery to target HIF2alpha (EPAS1) mRNA for degradation, thereby reducing the amount of free HIF2alpha mRNA available for translation[1].
