Ys-II (Compound 1) is a spirostanol glycoside that can be isolated from the stem of Yucca elephantipe. Ys-II has antifungal activity against the growth of Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans (IC50: 5 and 6 µg/mL respectively)[1].
