Rimegepant (sulfate hydrate) is a competitive antagonist of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor, with a Ki of 0.027 nM for the human receptor, and exhibits oral bioavailability and blood-brain barrier penetration. Rimegepant (sulfate hydrate) inhibits CGRP-stimulated cAMP production, CGRP-induced increase in facial blood flow, as well as CGRP signaling associated with bone metabolism, inflammation and pain pathways. Rimegepant (sulfate hydrate) can be used in research related to migraine, osteoarthritis, cerebral ischemia, transient ischemic attack and allergic asthma[1][2][3][4][5].
