ZG36 is a human caseinolytic protease P (ClpP) agonist with EC50 values of 2.2 µM (alpha-Casein hydrolysis assay) and 0.54 µM (FITC-Casein fluorescence assay). ZG36 binds directly to ClpP, enhances its thermal stability, and drives the abnormal degradation of mitochondrial respiratory chain complex proteins. ZG36 reduces mitochondrial DNA levels, downregulates MMP, induces mitochondrial dysfunction and leukemia cell death. ZG36 can be used for the research of acute myeloid leukemia[1].
