Remacemide (FPL 12924) is an orally active, non-competitive, low-affinity NMDA receptor antagonist. Remacemide shows neuroprotection activity in animal models of hypoxia and ischemic stroke. Remacemide is also an anticonvulsant, and can be used in Parkinsons disease and Huntingtons disease research[1][2][3][4].
