HydG can utilize S-Adenosyl-L-ethionine as an effective alternative cosubstrate to S-Adenosyl-L-methione under normal enzymatic turnover conditions, producing the O intermediate and allowing efficient catalytic turnover of substrate L-tyrosine[1].
