PPARalpha/gamma agonist 3 has anti-inflammatory activity, significantly reducing inflammatory markers such as IL-6 and MCP-1 on THP-1 macrophages through NF-kappaB activation. PPARalpha/gamma agonist 3 can be used in the study of metabolic syndrome and metabolic dysfunction-related fatty liver disease (MAFLD)[1].
