Nivocasan (GS 9450, LB-84451) is a pan-caspase inhibitor that irreversibly arrests caspase-1 activity and inhibits that of caspase-8. Nivocasan inhibits IL-1beta cleavage and blocks osteoclast differentiation. Nivocasan inhibits the protein expression of NFATc1 and CSTK[1].
