Atromentin, a phthalide derivative that can be isolated from the wood fungus Hypoxylon fendleri BCC32408, is a selective enoyl-ACP reductase FabK inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.24 µM. Atromentin exhibits selectivity over FabI. Atromentin can be used for antimicrobial research[1][2].
