UAMC-4821 is a blood-brain barrier-permeable ferroptosis inhibitor with a IC50 of 5.20 nM. UAMC-4821 scavenges free radicals, inhibits lipid peroxidation, suppresses ML162 (HY-100002)-induced ferroptosis, and exerts a protective effect on HT-1080 cells. UAMC-4821 can be used in the research of neurodegenerative diseases and ferroptosis-related central nervous system diseases[1][2].
