Cholesteryl-PEG2000-Biotin (Cholesteryl biotinyl(polyethyleneglycol)-2000 carbamate) is a lipid product. Cholesteryl-PEG2000-Biotin is a cholesterol backbone attached to one side of a PEG unit and a Biotin unit on the other side. Biotin is an enzyme cofactor that can be used to label proteins, and PEG is a low-toxic, hydrophilic, water-soluble polymer. Cholesteryl-PEG2000-Biotin can be used for drug circulation time studies[1].
