EOP (t18:0/30:0/18:2) is formed by esterifying an omega-hydroxy very long chain ceramide (C28-36) with the essential fatty acid linoleic acid. EOP (t18:0/30:0/18:2) has been used as a component of a model stratum corneum lipid mixture[1].
