Antiparasitic agent-32 (compound M9), a Piperaquine (HY-B1896) analog, is a potent P. falciparum lactate dehydrogenase (Pf LDH)-targeting antiparasitic agent (Pf3D7 IC50 = 0.40 µM). Antiparasitic agent-32 exhibits significant activity against both Pf asexual and gametocyte stages. Antiparasitic agent-32 exerts antiplasmodial activity through stable and specific noncovalent interactions at the NADH-binding site. Antiparasitic agent-32 can be used for malaria research[1].
