T4 UvsY Protein is an accessory protein for in vitro catalysis of strand exchange. T4 UvsY Protein enhances strand exchange by UvsX protein by interacting specifically with UvsX protein. UvsY protein enhances the rate of single-stranded-DNA-dependent ATP hydrolysis by UvsX protein[1].
