Myricetin 3-O-galactoside is an orally active glycoside derivative with multiple biological activities. Myricetin 3-O-galactoside inhibits the adhesion of uropathogenic *Escherichia coli* (UPEC), thereby alleviating urinary tract infection in mice. Myricetin 3-O-galactoside exerts peripheral analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities by inhibiting NO (mainly iNOS) synthesis. Myricetin 3-O-galactoside exerts anti-melanogenic effects via dual downregulation of MITF expression and activity through inhibiting the cAMP/PKA/CREB pathway and activating ERK1/2 signaling. Myricetin 3-O-galactoside inhibits DHHP and xanthine oxidase (xanthine oxidase), and possesses antioxidant, anti-lipid peroxidation and anti-mutagenic activities[1][2][3][4].
