Dehydrocrenatine is a beta-carboline indole alkaloid antimalarial agent present in the stem bark of Picrasma javanica. Dehydrocrenatine exhibits activity against Plasmodium falciparum, including isolates, the chloroquine-sensitive FCR-3 strain and the K1 strain. Dehydrocrenatine is applicable for malaria-related research[1][2].
