Vitexin 4-glucoside is a flavonoid C-glycoside with antioxidant and anti-apoptotic activities. Vitexin 4-glucoside reduces the hydrogen peroxide-induced increase in caspase-3 activity. Vitexin 4-glucoside ameliorates hydrogen peroxide-induced toxicity, apoptosis, morphological distortion, nuclear pyknosis, and the ratio of apoptotic/necrotic cells[1][2].
