Sempervirine is an indole alkaloid isolated from Gelsemium sempervirens with anti-tumor activities. Sempervirine is against sempervirine-sensitive tumor cells with EC50 values of 2.7 µM, 1.77 µM, and 1.96 µM for Raji, MDA-MB-231 and HeLa cells, respectively[2].
