Human follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) is a mammalian reproductive regulatory factor secreted by the pituitary gland, and also serves as the ligand for follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR). Human follicle stimulating hormone induces follicular maturation in the female ovary by targeting granulosa cells. It stimulates the proliferation of Sertoli cells in the testes and maintains spermatogenesis in males[1].
