Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 (Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7) is a synthetic polypeptide corresponding to amino acid residues 341-344 of the human immunoglobulin heavy chain, and exhibits phagocytosis-stimulating activity. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 reduces the secretion of interleukin-6 (IL-6) in keratinocytes and inhibits UVB radiation-induced inflammatory responses in the skin. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 also possesses anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects, and reduces skin wrinkles by promoting the production of elastic fibers in the papillary dermis. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-3 can be used in studies related to skin aging, photoaged skin and periorbital wrinkles[1][2][3].
