FNIII14 is derived from the 14th fibronectin (FN) type III-like (FN-III) repeat of FN molecule. FNIII14 is capable of inhibiting cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix (ECM). FNIII14 induces a conformational change in beta1-integrin from the active to the inactive form, and blocks integrin-mediated signaling. FNIII14 has anti-fibrotic, anti-cancer effect. FNIII14 can be used for research of metabolic diseases, organ fibrosis, and malignant tumors[1].
