The CRTAM/CD355 protein is a key mediator of heterophilic intercellular adhesion and complexly regulates the activation, differentiation, and tissue retention of T cell subsets. Its interaction with CADM1 promotes NK cell cytotoxicity and CD8+ T cell secretion of IFNG, thus contributing to NK cell-mediated tumor rejection.
