IMPA2, or Inositol monophosphatase 2, demonstrates enzymatic activity by utilizing various substrates such as myo-inositol monophosphates, scylloinositol 1,4-diphosphate, glucose-1-phosphate, beta-glycerophosphate, and 2-AMP. Additionally, it has been implicated as the pharmacological target for the action of lithium ions (Li) in the brain.
