The USP7 protein is a hydrolase that deubiquitinates multiple targets, including FOXO4, DEPTOR, KAT5, p53/TP53, MDM2, ERCC6, DNMT1, UHRF1, PTEN, KMT2E/MLL5, and DAXX. It cooperates with DAXX to enhance the E3 ligase activity of MDM2 and promote ubiquitination and degradation of p53/TP53.
