IL-18 protein is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays an important role in epithelial barrier repair and immune response regulation by polarizing T helper 1 (Th1) cells and natural killer (NK) cells. After binding to IL18R1 and IL18RAP receptors, IL-18 forms a signaling ternary complex, activates NF-kappa-B, and induces inflammatory mediators. IL-18 Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived IL-18 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.
