The PGK1 protein plays a key role in the glycolysis pathway by catalyzing one of two ATP-generating reactions, promoting the reversible conversion of 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate to 3-phosphoglycerate. In addition to its glycolytic function, PGK1 appears to act as a cofactor protein for polymerase alpha, playing a role in primer recognition. PGK1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived PGK1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.
