CD117, also known as tyrosine-protein kinase KIT or mast/stem cell growth factor receptor (SCFR), is a cytokine receptor that is expressed on the surface of hematopoietic stem cells and other cell types. CD117 signaling pathway plays an important role in cell survival, proliferation and differentiation. CD117 is a proto-oncogene associated with tumor development.
