Cadherin-1/CD324 protein, a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule, mediates cell processes. It interacts homophilically with other cadherin molecules, sorting and organizing cell types. CDH1 regulates adhesion, mobility, and proliferation of epithelial cells. It serves as an integrin ligand, suppressing invasion and promoting non-amyloidogenic degradation.
