Rab2A belongs to the Rab family, it is a small molecular weight guanosine triphosphatases (GTPases) and membrane-bound protein which involved in GTP binding and hydrolysis and are key regulators of intracellular membrane trafficking, from the formation of transport vesicles to their fusion with membranes, Rab2A is required for protein transport from the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) to the Golgi complex as well.
