AGRP protein is an alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone antagonist that regulates feeding behavior through the central melanocortin system to maintain body weight balance. AGRP inhibits cAMP production mediated by stimulation of melanocortin receptors within the hypothalamus and adrenal glands. AGRP can act as an inhibitor of MC3R and MC4R. AGRP Protein, Rhesus Macaque (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant Rhesus Macaque-derived AGRP protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-mFc labeled tag.
