The REG4 protein is a calcium-dependent lectin that functions as a pattern recognition receptor (PRR) in the innate immune system. REG4 has specific affinity for alpha-mannan on Candida albicans hyphae and triggers phosphorylation of the FCER1G immunoreceptor tyrosine activation motif (ITAM), thereby activating SYK, CARD9 and NF-kappa-B. REG4 Protein, Rat (HEK293, His) is the recombinant rat-derived REG4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.
