Benzophenone-2 is an endocrine disruptor that can interfere with estrogen receptors (ERalpha receptor) and pregnane X receptor (PXR receptor) activity, leading to reproductive toxicity, immune disorders, and metabolic abnormalities. Benzophenone-2 can inhibit the activity of alpha-glucosidase (IC50 = 49.72 µM), and can be used for research on diabetes[1][2][3].
