(E/Z)-Oleamide (Octadec-9-enamide) is a PPARalpha ligand in hippocampal nuclei. (E/Z)-Oleamide can be isolated from plant Galium aparine L. (GA). (E/Z)-Oleamide controls hippocampal plasticity via transcriptional activation of CREB, and regulates feeding and sexual behavior in rats[1][2][3].
