Coumarin boronic acid is a fluorescent probe. Coumarin boronic acid reacts with amino acid and protein hydroperoxides to form the corresponding fluorescent product, 7-hydroxycoumarin. Coumarin boronic acid can be used for real-time monitoring of amino acid and protein hydroperoxides. The excitation and emission wavelengths of coumarin boronic acid are set to 360 nm and 430 nm, respectively.[1].
