Chavicol (p-Hydroxyallylbenzene, compound 6) can inhibit acetylcholinesterase (Cholinesterase (ChE)), with an IC50 of 7.42 µM. Chavicol has anti-cancer activity and can suppress the growth, survival, migration, and invasion of cancer cells. Chavicol cytotoxic effect is significant, approximately 31 µg/mL in A-549 cells[1][2].
