Tetrahydropapaveroline (Norlaudanosoline) hydrobromide, an isoquinoline alkaloid, is a condensation product of dopamine and dopaldehyde. Tetrahydropapaveroline hydrobromide inhibits [3H]DA uptake with a Ki of 41 µM. Tetrahydropapaveroline hydrobromide can be used for the study of Parkinsons disease and/or alcohol addiction[1][2].
