SARS-CoV-2 Mpro-IN-58 is a SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro/3CLpro) inhibitor with an IC50 of 1.5 µM against SARS-CoV-2. SARS-CoV-2 Mpro-IN-58 covalently modifies the catalytic cysteine residue (C145) of Mpro, engages the underutilized Mpro S3' pocket, and forms hydrogen bond contacts with Mpro residues. SARS-CoV-2 Mpro-IN-58 exhibits time-dependent inhibitory activity against Mpro. SARS-CoV-2 Mpro-IN-58 can be used for the research of SARS-CoV-2 infection[1].
