Anti-Avian influenza hemagglutinin antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to 15 amino acids at the N-terminus of the avian influenza hemagglutinin protein. Efforts were made to use relatively conserved regions of the viral sequence as the antigen.
