Non-viable cell pellet was generated from cell line WM2013. WM2013 is a metastatic human melanoma cell line that displays a melanocytic morphology. This cell line contains a Q61K mutation at position 61 in the N-RAS gene which causes increased signaling via the extracellular signal-regulated MAPK/ERK kinase pathways to enhance proliferation. WM2013 cells are the recurrent lesion to WM1960 and match WM3060. WM2013 cells produce xenograft tumors when injected into immunocompromised mice.
