Non-viable cell pellet was generated from cell line WM3622. WM3622 is a metastatic human melanoma cell line that display large flat cell morphology. This cell line contains a F337S mutation in the PTEN gene. The codon for phe337 is replaced with a serine residue and this substitution could be highly detrimental to catalysis by PTEN and to its conformational stability. WM3622 cells produce xenograft tumors when injected into immunocompromised mice.
