Cytochrome P450 enzymes are a group of isoenzymes mainly found in the liver, playing a significant role in the metabolism of xenobiotics, particularly drugs and toxins. Cytochrome P450 and cytochrome b5 (CYB5) are two hemoproteins in the P450 enzyme system, and changes in their ratio are closely related to P450 metabolic activity.
