BuChE-IN-16 (Compound 6a) is an orally active, blood-brain barrier-permeable, and selective BuChE inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.33 µM. It exhibits anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects, improves cognitive function in Alzheimers disease (AD) zebrafish models, and alleviates scopolamine-induced memory impairment in mice. BuChE-IN-16 is applicable for Alzheimers disease research.
