SDH-IN-28 is a succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) inhibitor with an IC50 of 2.65 mg/L. It exhibits broad-spectrum antifungal activity, showing EC50 values of 0.21 mg/L for Valsa mali, 0.95 mg/L for Botrytis cinerea, 0.64 mg/L for Botrytis cinerea, 1.33 mg/L for Rhizoctonia solani, and 0.66 mg/L for Fusarium graminearum and Gaeumannomyces gramini. SDH-IN-28 is effective in preventing V. mali from causing apple rot disease.
