Ac-H-FluNox LH is a cell-compatible analog of H-FluNox (Labile heme selective fluorescent probe). This compound undergoes intracellular hydrolysis by esterases to remove the acetyl group, yielding H-FluNox. The resultant H-FluNox utilizes a biomimetic N-oxide deoxygenation reaction triggered by Labile heme to emit fluorescence, thereby enabling the detection of Labile heme.
