Product Description

ClpPmodulator-1 (Compound BC8a) is a peptide mimic functioning as an allosteric ClpP modulator. At low concentrations, ClpPmodulator-1 acts as a ClpP activator, with EC50 values of 0.35 µM for Neisseria meningitides ClpP (NmClpP) and 0.58 µM for Escherichia coli ClpP (EcClpP). At higher concentrations, it inhibits peptidase activity by competitively blocking substrate protein (LY-AMC) binding to the ClpPC site. ClpPmodulator-1 exhibits antibacterial properties and is applicable in bacterial infection research.
