TH16 is an antimicrobial agent with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 2 µg/mL against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). It disrupts the integrity of the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane, leading to an increase in intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, ultimately causing bacterial death. TH16 holds potential for research in bacterial infection.
