Riboswit-modulator-1 (Compound A1) is a covalent RNA ligand that acts as a regulator of the bacterial flavin mononucleotide riboswitch (FMN riboswitch). It modifies unpaired guanine residues (G11 and G62) near the FMN binding site through a proximity-driven mechanism, disrupting its conformational change. Riboswit-modulator-1 functions as a negative antagonist by eliciting effects opposite to those of the natural effector molecule.
