DMNPE (D-Luciferin 1-(4,5-dimethoxy-2- nitrophenyl) ethyl ester) is a chemical agent that forms stable complexes with DNA molecules, effectively caging or blocking the biological activity of DNA. Once inside the cell, activated D-luciferin is released either by UV light or catalytically by endogenous intracellular esterases.This product makes it easier to detect changes in gene expression in living cells.
