It exhibits antibacterial activity against methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and S. mutans with MICs of 12.5 and 6.25 µg/ml, respectively. Anacardic acid diene shows schistosomicidal activity against adult S. mansoni worms at 100 µM and also inhibits soybean lipoxygenase-1 in a time-dependent manner.
